I think she's not inherently a bad person, just oblivious to stupid actions that she has now learned. She should be given a chance at rudemption.

no, she IS a bad person. she had her chance in 2020 but continued to distribute p*rngraphic material to minors, bodyshame somebody who's meant to be her friend and host viewing parties to make fun of said friend

these are not the actions of a nice person, she's a textbook narcissist. please watch at least one video essay on this topic.

mother, what must i do?

there seems to be a specific type of person who flocks to canceled/disgraced celebrities and supports them after they've been outed for doing horrible things. idk if it's pick me behavior or some kind of twisted nostalgic sympathy where they make up excuses for them and intentionally support them more the worse things get. like shane dawson and james charles still get a decent amount of views, not quite where they once were, but much higher than you'd expect after countless examples of their offensive doings.

granted, before all this, colleen was only getting like 10% of what they're getting now after their "comebacks" so it won't be the same dramatic success story, but I'm sure she's just going to keep making her awful content, and people will keep making up excuses and sympathizing with her. as we're even starting to see in this very thread...

I don't support her, nor care about her.

I feel like it might have something to do with the disproportionality of hate a cancelled person is receiving. Like I said in my previous comment, people keep digging up dirt and make a big deal about it for it the sake of it.

That's social media nowadays in a nutshell: jumping on every opportunity to absolutely destroy somebody.

I'm not saying that people shouldn't be called out for their actions, but what's going on with Colleen is just very toxic in itself.

It's also kinda hypocritical. People suddenly make whole lists with dozens of things she has said and done while those things were known before. Yet, people only care to make a big deal about while she is already being cancelled.

Why did people not care before?

It's more about becoming part of the movement that cancels a famous person and bring them down.

So, I feel like the people that were already a fan of her and will keep watch her content, probably:

(1) are very young

(2) are against cancel culture

(3) feel the need to protect somebody against an inappropiate storm of hate

you're more upset about the cancelation and charges being brought against her than her actual actions. I don't really care what you have to say.

It's not like one can't be upset about the accusations and feel like the way the public is responding to this is unhealthy at the same time.

Like, it's clear she has said and done terrible things. No doubt about that.

That doesn't justify literally wanna destroy a person like what people are trying to do now imo though.

the hate is not disproportionate, she deserves it all, she literally deserves to be in jail

people did care before but she managed to use her stans to smear those telling the truth as well using edited footage to manipulate the truth in her 2020 "apology" video

mother, what must i do?

no one is destroying her, they're showing why she doesn't deserve her career and success... because of her own behavior. they're not creating these circumstances, it's her own actions catching up to her. it's absolutely justified.

it’s a mixture of everyone on the planet not being fed the same information such as this and not wanting people to kill themselves. This is insanely horrible and i won’t be watching her (not that i did ever), but i at hope she can at least recognize the terrible things she’s done and find peace/ disappear from the public eye so she doesn’t hurt anyone else
