Regardless of it being acting, it’s in very poor taste.

True, with him being a producer (and co-writer) on the show and all, he easily could have had that line re-written.

Last episode he used the R word too.  It’s his character , not The Weeknd

Pronounced like “Balenciaga” . Emphasis on the “Ga”

Bend over to excuse this behavior, but this “actor” doesn’t get the f-word pass from me, sorry. The whole show is just tacky.

I really don't know how some of you have survived in the real world this long.

I rarely pipe up like this, but I really take issue with the word choice. It feels very much like “I’m on HBO so I’m going to say the f slur to make this seem like a sophisticated show for grown-ups”. It’s the same shallow motivation for putting in those anemic sex scenes.

It feels like using homophobia for clout, and that’s scummy to me.

Even though it’s fiction, this is still a massive cringe.

Also, how weak and one dimensional can the writing of a scene be? :toofunny: This show just ain’t it.

He said himself that his character is meant to be despicable or some word similar to that, y'all are so extra being offended for this...

Did you mean his character?

Edit: The writing is not intelligent enough to warrant the use of the slur though. It's more the writer's problem than Abel's.

The delivery was also the worst thing I’ve ever heard. It gave **** acting

Yeah its acting, and the character using the slur is bad and not likable. Are you guys gonna be offended if a KKK character says racist things in movies?

I mean, he’s a shïtty character that says shïtty things but it’s just a (terrible) show. I wonder if the people that are mad at this also have the same energy for Leonardo DiCaprio saying the N word in Django Unchained.
