I rarely pipe up like this, but I really take issue with the word choice. It feels very much like “I’m on HBO so I’m going to say the f slur to make this seem like a sophisticated show for grown-ups”. It’s the same shallow motivation for putting in those anemic sex scenes.

It feels like using homophobia for clout, and that’s scummy to me.
