Customzanotti 1,782
I know Joanne tends to get a lot of flack for being presented as this authentic stripped down americana record without ever actually properly diving into country/rock, but i've been really enjoying it lately and i'd consider it her best produced project. The live instrumentation, her vocal versatility, her range, the hooks. Mike & Blood really did the damn thing and i wouldn't change a thing. Every element of the album, down to the smalles soundbite sat perfectly in place. Pompom hole n streets w/ ma heels

Ladle Ghoulash 16,549
Honestly, hard disagree. I love the arrangements on Joanne, but I think that the record would be so much better if it were produced like a live record (a la ASIB) and the vocals and instrumentation were given more dimensionality + room to breathe. I think the biggest weakness of the production on Joanne is that it sounds heavily compressed. That being said, I absolutely love the album.
Anderson123 36,028
Hmm idk. I think Chromatica, ARTPOP and The Fame Monster are better produced than Joanne, even A Star Is Born.
Blackout19 10,579
Joanne is really a masterpiece. Joanne & Chromatica are for sure Gaga’s best albums. Vino cu noi în bucătărie, adu cu tine și o farfurie.
LittleMonster20 9,788
It’s definitely an amazing album that I’ve grown to appreciate more overtime. Although it’s very different from the rest of her discography, I feel like it added a diverse sound and some of the songs on it are very underrated. I don’t know if I would consider it her best produced album, but I definitely agree that it’s probably one of her best when it comes to the production, especially Diamond Heart, John Wayne and Angel Down. And despite not being on the album, Joanne (Where Do You Think You’re Goin’?) (Piano Version) is probably one of her best songs.
nATAH 43,124
i love Joanne but for some reason, the album is quieter than the rest of her records not sure why that is unless somebody can explain why mother, what must i do?

I feel like not a lot of the GP really knows about it (aside from Million Reasons). Sincere question, btw. I love Joanne, so this is not a drag. Bronco 6,652
Personally I disagree, I always felt like Joanne as an album was being pulled in 2 directions/having a identity crisis. One half is very heavy indie rock that I find a bit too removed from the country identity the album is packaged as. And then you get the other half which is a surface level mix of blues & singer-songwriter style guitar ballads.
holy scheisse 21,695
I’m happy for those of you who believe this to be true — but just because it’s “raw” instruments, and a “raw” sound doesn’t mean it’s better… 1 hour ago, AnglerfishbraBENUS said: The GP loves Joanne and they love it hard Ehhhh… then why did perfect illusion flop lol I think the GP loves balladga, not joanne the album
