Yep, the Soviets are the ones who drew Ukraine's borders. The Ukrainian leader of USSR Kruschiov transfered Crimea to Ukraine, before that it was Russian and before Tatar. What's that got to do with anything?

In Ukraine most of the population is bilingual meaning speaking both Russian and Ukrainian. The map shows the mother's language, which is the language someone identifies themselves with. Zelensky was born in a blue area, with 70& of the population identifying as Ukrainian.

In other words, educate yourself before screaming from the rooftops about something you don't know about. If you barely found out where Ukraine is on the map, chances are you don't have valuable input about the matter of facts.

So native language has no bearing on whether someone supports Russia's invasion or not. I'm not sure if you even hear yourself at this point? I doubt that even every russian-speaking person in Russia supports the war, let alone in Ukraine. Stop trying to justify a genocidal war.

I am not saying every Russian-speaking person in Ukraine supports the war. However, a portion of the ethnic Russians who are speaking Russian as their mother's tongue do. And those live, as per the 2004 Ukrainian census, in the south and Crimea mostly, which where the area occupied by Russia, as well as some blue areas.

You have to be either propagandized or disingenious to think all pro-Russians that existed in Ukraine evaporated. Some of them changed their minds, but many pro-Russian Ukrainian citizens who were open to Putin found themselves in the occupation zone and simply accepted the Russian rule.

But Zelensky wants said territories back, both the red and the blue areas. So when it comes to the red Russian villages who in all likehood are pro-Russian, the Ukrainian counter-offensive will just be .. an offensive.

Ignoring the nonsense in some posts...

I thought yesterday's press conference was interesting because Putin is found yet again exposing one of his own lies. Whenever he was blamed for Wagner war crimes, he claimed they had nothing to do with the Russian government. But yesterday, for the first time, he claimed that the group was fully funded by the Russian governemnt.
