I think all her projects are delayed now due to the strike right? :enigma:

Isn’t it an actors and writers strike? Shouldn’t have anything to do with a tour film

Isn’t she a part of SAG AFTRA? Releasing a film of any kind (especially one that would likely read “starring lady Gaga”) during it would look vvvv bad and remember hollywood is about politics and she’s still singer turned movie star lady Gaga. Nothing tanks a brand faster than being anti-union especially at this time in Hollywood. I imagine if she wasn’t in movies and tv it would be different

I'm not sure :cyanlights: I mean it is, but the SAG-AFTRA includes singers and she's also a member

Also like said above, even if she's allowed maybe she won't release it because she wants to show solidarity but idk

Strike aside, it's not that they can release it whenever they want, especially if it's coming on a streaming platform. They have to wait for a gap in between important content releases and stuff like that, it depends on the deal

Imagine she cancels the whole Tour Film because of the strike. On one hand, I wouldn’t mind because this strike is extremely important (far more important than a damn tour film), but on the other hand it’d be kinda tragic after all the Chromatica stuff that was canceled or delayed because of COVID and BLM. But like I said, it’s just a tour film, and the strike is more important (so were COVID set-backs and BLM!)

She's in a streak so probably next year.

She can promote Chromatica Ball film, can even record new music and music videos

I get that she can do it, but wouldn’t it be in bad taste?

*Correct me if I’m wrong*

It would be in bad taste if she released it under a company that SAG-AFTRA is striking against- essentially any big streaming platform- Netflix, Disney+, etc.

There are productions that have the greenlight to continue work (truly independent productions), that abide by SAG requests.

If Gaga didn’t sell to streamers, it wouldn’t be in bad taste.

It's complicated because there are some releases under Netflix and Disney+ that are going on as planned and nobody has a problem with that, so I don't know what to say.

There are releases at the whim of timing that are already locked in. Those will be the last films to sneak through. After that a major backlog in production for major studios.

Allowing production for indies and shifting to studios that meet requests of SAG fills the holes in production, and makes the demands seem a lot less impossible. As well as countless other jobs held up because of the strike.

Showing the work and requests can be done undermines the major studios.

Okay, now it's been a year. Complain.

She's not totally responsible to be honest. I'm sure she worked hard on this but her release plans were ****ed because of the never ending strike.
