Because we know you crystal clear. If she put out new music and the chormatica ball film and right after she posted the nurtec ad, y'all didn't give a **** about it. And the "wanting more frequent love messages" it's what y'all said and that was an excuse.

And no, what you did was not "valid cristicism", y'all literally aassulted her on her social media calling her in every way (bad) possible, otherwise she didn't post that message.

Some fans here behaving like they were giving constructive criticism when they were just sitting and disrespectfully questioning her support to the community and calling her sell out.

How can anoyone not love gaga

This is exactly what I had said earlier :lmao: If that ad came out with a tour film announcement, everyone would be singing a different tune.

No "but she didn't put up a Happy Pride post on insta UwU" bullshit

I'm not very good with Social Mediaᵀᴹ

Yaaaas Gaga

I find it embarrassing that Gaga even had to make this post in the first place. She’s 37 years old now, not 23, so if she decides to take some time away from the limelight to focus on herself is that really such a crime.

There’s no doubt in my mind that her team monitor the comments on GGD and have obviously seen the (rather unfair and unreasonable) backlash she has been receiving lately which has prompted Gaga to make this post. I can’t imagine how it must feel for her to know that her own fan base is attacking her, and after everything she has done for the community throughout her career.

Hopefully Gaga’s post will silence the hateful fans for a short period (until they find something else to complain about).

My advice is people need to stop relying on others for happiness, it is something to be found within!

Yes, that's what I wrote in that (in)famous thread when i called her a business woman. You can be both. Me and you never doubted her love for fans, but I'm referring in this thread to the ones who called her fake and said she didn't care anymore (I mean the thread is gone, but her IG ad post it's still there and you can read the comments).

I think many of us who did criticise the Nurtec ad also called out the few ass**** who called her a sellout and that she "betrayed" the LGBTQ+ community and all that dumb shit.

People need to stop throwing all of the people who simply didn't like the ad and the way her socials were being run into a pot with the other "haters". There's a difference. There were only a handful of people being rude - most on here simply stated they were being disappointed and that was an accumulation of many things - and it's ok to adress this while still loving this woman.

I'm sure you all sometimes criticise or call out your friends/family members when something doesn't sit right with you, right? You do that because you care - it's what humans do - it's communication. And again, I'm only talking about the people who did that in a respectful way - not the idiots who called her things and that she doesn't care and all that bs.

COOOK

A wake-up call for fanbases and management teams, about the way we all use social media. This should also make some question their role as fans and how they manage expectations.

Maybe it's time for many to step back from all of this and focus on what brings them joy. Maybe that's what she's unknowingly been teaching us every time she goes silent on social media.

"Her complete silence"

I'm sorry, you know we're talking about Lady Gaga here, right? The woman deadass runs a charity specifically for queer youth; has multiple songs dedicated to the queer community directly or the celebration of the queer community; takes every opportunity she has at her shows to preach about acceptance, love, kindness, and pride; lifts up queer artists - be they gay producers, trans youtubers, or drag performers; and even in her conservative friendly eras reminds the listeners/viewers that queer people have existed forever and will continue to :toofunny:

And you're disappointed 'cause...she didn't tweet "yay gays" this month?

I love y'all but y'all are also so unserious sometimes :messga:

And when the political climate surrounding LGBTQ+ rights is the worst in America in decades, she decided to stay completely silent this year. Not to mention that I don't remember the last time she did something that big to support the cause, and preaching about love and kindness does not count. It's okay though, she can shill for Joe Biden, pharhma ads and Haus Labs, but when people want her to stand by her previous words it's rude.

And no, I want her to do way more than a tweet. But she can't even do that.

I like dancin', and ponies....

I know I sound like a total jerk for saying this, but low key happy that people made a stink and her management knew they had to address it. I love Gaga and that she’s found a space that lets her feel happy again even if it means less interaction with us, but just saying hi and giving us a life update feels refreshing.

But that's the problem, should we have to make drama and talk **** about her just for her to update us on things? I feel like that's very entitled considering that she's made it very clear she has her reasons as to why she's not being as active as before. Like I get wanting to know what she's up to but also, calling her attention in a way that's negative and hateful is just wrong :saladga:

This mentality is just evil and nasty. This woman has done more for the LGBTQ+ community than almost any other pop star today. How dare you question her integrity simply because it’s not up to your liking. I have a piece of advice for you: get over it. It’s not her job as a celebrity to speak up about every single social issue. ESPECIALLY when historically she has ALWAYS stood up for us. It’s immensely disappointing that you are putting so much pressure on a woman that has always stood with us. To put that weight on a celebrity’s shoulders is so weird. Has she shown any signs of not sharing the sentiments she always has about LGBTQ issues? No. But the intensity of your unwarranted opinion would make it seem that way. Your energy is so misplaced. Get off her back.

I didn't get to TCB, so it's great news that the TCB film is definitely on the way. Even that short snippet on the Nurtec ad looked better than any amateur footage on YT (to my admittedly untrained eye). Looking forward to that special project too.

I don't care about whether or not Gaga says hello on social media. I just want her to do what's best for her personally in that regard. I have no interest in HL, but I'm pleased for her and I congratulate her for its success. And doing ads for luxury goods, be it watches, champagne, handbags, sports cars, whatever, that's all fine with me, make some money, feed your family.

And then we come to the elephant named Nurtec, Pfizer are not in the luxury goods business, or at least they shouldn't be, and I think it was a mistake on Gaga's part to do that ad, and adding the TCB snippet into the mix was just making the hole bigger - goofy Gaga lives on.

I don't question her previous work, but her current silence. As a celebrity who is the self-proclaimed "Queen of the Gays", it is her job to speak on LGBTQ+ rights. Let's not even mention her immense hypocrisy, as she used to call out people who chose to stay silent on those issues. She's definitely not standing with me right now.

It's not misplaced, and it's not evil and nasty. It's objectively true that she has been silent for the past year or even more. It does say a lot that you don't care about her silence, but I'm sure you can't wait for the Chromatica film.

She chose to put that weight on her shoulders, you are forgetting that too.

I'll never understand how some of you see Gaga as some sort of a sad victim :bear:

She's an adult. She chose this career, and she also chose to cultivate this parasocial relationship with her fans. I still do not see how little monsters are worse than any other fanbase out there, especially considering how nasty the twitter stan culture overall is. Like, enough with the self flagellation. Also enough with the insults, though. Y'all should be perfectly able to criticize her business without resorting to insults. And the other y'all should be able to see that a pop star getting criticism is nothing new, and certainly not the end of the world.

I'll stop before I start singing we are the world let's come together or something :vegas:

So long ggd, it was nice while it lasted.

You didn't quote me but since you directly rephrased my words while discussing nasty things I didn't do in a pointed tone... It's quite obvious who you're after lmao...

Some may be like that but not everyone would have ignore this ad then. You don't know me "crystal clear" with this unfair trial of intent lol.

Same with the need for love messages, some said it indeed but there's no "y'all" when others disliked this specific add but never mentioned her posting less personal stuffs as an issue.

Again, your "y'all" is unfair cause I and other members disagreed with the Pfizer association but didn't assault/ insult her one bit.
