this is peak white feminism where white faux feminists like Taylor can't be criticized for their hypocrisy.

She's not responsible for his actions, but she choose to spend time w him so I have no problem judging her for that

This is not the same as, like, Gaga with her dad, or a woman who's married and then their spouse says something.. like she already knew and then choose to pursue relationship :awkney:

She’s choosing to actively date this guy, despite his bigotry. Isn’t she the one that sang about playing stupid games and getting stupid prizes? She deserves every bit of criticism she’s receiving right now.

Ok yeah it's his actions. But our partner's actions and words are a reflection of ourselves, and what we choose to accept/ignore.

Love the girl, but he ain't it :awkney:

Has anyone thought for a moment that

1-we don’t even know the context or extent of their relationship

2-that Taylor had a conversation with him regarding his remarks

heck maybe Taylor’s company will make him a better person?

You guys need to stop canceling people, it’s just not sustainable at this point.

The sentence "For the last 17 years, we’ve held this woman responsible for the actions of men she chooses to spend time with, and it’s time to stop." is not the gag they think it is. Like yeah, we can't hold her responsible for other people's actions, but actively choosing to be with someone like him is weird.

Criticizing public figures ≠ cancelling someone! I’m tired of people trying to shout cancel culture left and right as an attempt to excuse complacency and ignorance from someone they admire. She’s rightfully facing criticism for choosing to have a relationship with a bigot. Plain and simple.

i’m sorry i don’t think a racist bigot that gets off to brutalizing black women is redeemable. interesting that you think so but to each their own!

Just the other day he harped on people being rightfully upset at his offensive comments and behavior as deluded. He is not sorry in the slightest and men like him probably will never change because their ego is too big to let them change. Taylor just doesn’t give a **** and lets that slide because at the end of the day, she’ll have her die hards

King of the Fall

Rolling Stone is a corrupt and irrelevant joke, they are perfectly willing to defend women from accusations as long as they are white.

at this point, I'm assuming they're intentionally engaging in outrage to get clicks. they've had a few exceptionally bad takes within the last year or 2. like do you remember when they had a list of the best singers of all time and they didn't include celine dion. lol

Imagine having a top 200 singers list and including Billie Eilish but leaving off Celine Dion. **** Rolling Stone.
