Honestly I understand this completely. I wouldn't wanna be sleeping at odd hours of every day and live on a tour bus/plane for months on end, constantly tired, sick, etc. There is a way to do tours that are healthier (i.e. Chromatica Ball and Renaissance World Tour) that don't require such a harsh schedule, but you have to find a team that is willing to do the same and that may be hard.

I feel like Miley has always been about the music not the bling. She’s been a millionaire on her own since she was a child, her dad had money before that.

That is not true at all. Artists were struggling during the pandemic (even some famous ones funnily enough) because touring is their biggest way of making money. Actually artists and their labels have been increasingly relying on big tours while actual music sales have gone down over the years. It's connected to sales. Miley's last albums all missed being #1 and her lack of touring definitely plays a role in that. I don't think she necessarily cares though, which is cool!

I think she could have worded herself better. Sleeping on a tour bus or getting ready in a locker room don’t sound as dramatic to me tbh. And that alone doesn’t sound like a great reason, as those issues can be managed in a different way with a competent team. Nevertheless she doesn’t owe anyone anything and if she doesn’t want to tour, good for her, for real.

also, what are those innovative ways that she stays in touch with her fans again?
