We have to be getting something within the next 12 months I'd imagine. Unless this is spelling the beginning of the end for her music career and we fully pivot into gaga the actor.

She said there will always be music in her heart and she wants to become an old pop star, so I think her retirement from music will never happen, also there is a 10? Studio album contract with Interscope and we only have 8 (with Jazz albums)

But at the same time I have this guttural feeling LG7 is going to take a while to come out.. . lol Maybe it's because I can see herself being 1000% in the Harley Quinn character, and is taking a break from working so much, unless she already recorded something before (HOPEFULLY act II) ? idkkk i juss miss her

To be fair, I don't consider ASIB to be a Gaga album, at least not exclusively. So, for me, Joanne to Chromatica is still a longer gap.

Maybe it's just me but it doesn't even feel that long since Chromatica. The pandemic really f*cked with my perception of time  

Honestly, I'd be content if we had to wait until after Joker 2 for new music. Would I like her to release something sooner? Absolutely. We all would. But idk, something just tells me it's going to be a while before the next album. Joker 2 is going to be a big movie, so I just can't see her releasing an album + touring before then.

So they won't count C2C or L4S but they will count ASIB despite it being a movie soundtrack with no central theme, meaning, or era (aside from award campaigns)?

Anyway! Her projects are always worth the wait. Idc if LG7 takes 10 years tbh. As long as she's still active (acting, activism, etc).

I agree, it doesn't feel that long to me either, especially with the tour happening barely a year ago.

I'd honestly be really surprised if new pop music got released anytime soon. I feel like Joker, both the film and its soundtrack, is the project that she solely focused on for the past few months. But it's a mysteriously long way until it gets released, so who knows what can happen in the meantime.

Joker (the original movie) was written in 2017, filmed in early 2018, and released in late 2019 so I think it's just a normal timeframe tbh

The pandemic definitely delayed things, so this is unsurprising. Good thing she already filmed Joker 2 so that we are waiting for something instead of a total blackout. 2023 definitely needs something to happen though

I'm strictly a fan of Gaga's music and it has been really difficult with that frame of mind. I wish I was like the majority of people here who care about her acting career and are excited about Joker but I just don't. This timeframe feels even longer because of that. I am anticipating her return to music, but I am inclined to agree that she seems to be shifting focus mentally towards acting. It seems like she is getting much more pleasure and satisfaction with her blossoming acting career.
