Regular accounts will be the common casualties unfortunately. Since before Musk take over, people been wanting and asking some inactive accounts get purged so that they don't hold the usernames hostage.

They shouldn't do that. There's a lot of people who deal with their grief looking at old messages and pictures of dead relatives, friends, etc. I'd be devastated if I had lost someone and they decided to do that.

I agree that maybe bots or twitter accounts with 0 activity/followers/posts, etc. should be deleted if that's what they're talking about.

The best way to go about it is by only deleting old accounts that never posted actual content, and haven't logged in for a while (like 2-3 years).
