Doja Cat slammed for vaping at Met Gala after having throat surgeries

Doja Cat has been blasted for vaping on the Met Gala despite Anna Wintour banning smoking and it being nearly a year after she had an abscess surgically removed from her throat.
Last year, she cancelled all of her tour dates after her tonsils became infected from vaping. 'i was taking f**kin antibiotics but forgot that i was taking them and then i drank wine and was vaping all day long and then i started getting a nasty a** growth on my tonsil so they had to do surgery on it ,' she explained. source

I think people are far more likely to be interested in what Doja would be wearing to the MET, rather than Selena

i mean, Doja has gone as a cat just this week, she’s been covered head to toe in red crystals, even went to one event as a worm  but what interesting thing has selena done?

The Met Gala & its invitees have become Frankenstein's monster. The Gala is relevant, but has lost prestige, and a lot of the guests have no real respect for Anna or the Met itself. They know they can get away with smoking/vaping or turning down an invite because they don't like the theme (like the Camp year). I don't see Anna having the gumption of taking these people to task and cutting down the list because she's probably afraid the event will become irrelevant or make less money if she does.

I need more context. Because smoking and vaping are two separate things, especially indoors.
