I so badly want to purchase this on iTunes, but don’t want Nicki to get my coins.  It’s an absolute banger regardless.

Don’t play with me, it just hurts me.

Idk... It's so distracting how awkward and uncomfortable Kim looks throughout the whole thing

I thought this was so great!!!

I know some had their critique’s. As someone who’s followed Kim from an independent artist to getting a foot in the door with a major label, it makes me so happy to see her exposure and hitting the main stream and getting hits like Unholy. There’s so much hate in the world and I know she’s gotten so much crap, when all she’s wanted to do is make music and share her creative talents. She still has an uphill battle when it comes to being taken seriously as an artist, the world is the world, many will have a hard time accepting her because of their transphobia, or their own quirks they don’t like about themselves, but I love seeing her and what she represents. She’s just one of us, and has a mad passion for music, I love her story and how she’s persevered to get where she is today. She’s so quirky too and awkwardly Kim, which makes me love her even more, she’s just herself and feels genuine and real, I love her bubbly persona, and how she invented the word “wooh-ah!” only Kim could do that, she’s seriously so talented and such a special artist, she also just reminds me of me, her love for music and pop culture, she’s so relatable, & her vocals!!!! Dear god!!! I could listen all day. I do think she exuded more confidence in her ERA 1 and Clarity days, I think the transition from independent artist to major record label has had it’s challenges for her, her bodies gone through changes from her 20’s to her 30’s like most of our’s do, but in the entertainment industry you’re still expected to be a twig of a person & I think the industry in general hasn’t always been kind to her and has broken her down at times, because she’s different and others don’t understand her, but it’s apart of what makes her so special, & she keeps showing up, & showing she’s credible, & that there’s a market for her, she’ll continue to gain her confidence back. She has so many fans and peers in the industry who love and support her. Bunhead for life! ❤️🌈🦄 I love how interactive Kim is with her fans too, it reminds me of the early days with Gaga,  Kim has such a warmth with how she interacts with her fan base, she’s just one of bunheads, she treats her fan as her equals and her friends and it’s very endearing to watch.

When I saw early teasers & pictures from the music video, I honestly had no idea of what to expect, I also didn’t expect a huge budget music video. What I got surpassed my expectations, & whatever the budget was which I’m sure had a little help from Bose, loved the promo, haha was seriously a fun part of the video that made me smile, the close up of the Bose air pods, but whatever the budget was, I feel like they were smart in how they utilized it. The stage & lighting that could change colors, allowed for a lot of versatility with the costume changes, & I felt like the costumes were really crisp, I loved the outfits, even the band ones. I remember seeing the clips of the marching band and Kim marching with her clarinet & I thought it could be so goofy, and I wondered how they would do that, but I really liked it, I thought it was the right amount of goof, fun and quirk, while still looking fly. Kim’s not afraid to try campy stuff like that and I live for it. The marching band bit was also a way for Kim to share how much of a barb she is, because nicki can play the clarinet. Any barb knows that about Nicki, I loved that choice for that reason, and the Barbs will get it. Also you’ll notice the nods to the y2k era which was really cool, I was a preteen in the early 2000’s and everything in that era was super cool to me. Those years are such an impressionable moment, & there were so many new things happening in music at that time, the late 90’s early 2000’s, it was the introduction of auto tune in music, like Cher in believe. The energy of the time was really magical, hard to describe, some of my first artists I staned or got into listening to were from that era. So of course I loved the nods to that area, if any of you have watched the Alice DeJay, better off alone video, you’ll also notice the references to that as well. In the better off alone video Alice DeJay is doing yoga and groovy dance moves. You’ll see the pink yoga mats in Kim’s version & yoga balls as well as the remote button that turns into dancers doing yoga acrobatics. All inspiration and a nod from the Alice DeJay video, but still feels different new and fresh. I loved the choices with the dominatrix outfits and pink glasses, when I saw this on the single cover I was really hopping this visual would be included in the video and it was. I even didn’t mind the nurse outfit, the nurse can be kind of overused, but I understand why, it’s very reminiscent of blink 182 album cover enema of the state, which was an album from that era she is channeling.

I loved the dude tuning into her channel on the tele too, almost as if she’s an infomercial. The multiple Kim’s was really cool too and something I really don’t recall seeing like that. I think this song and video especially for people like me from this generation is really going to bring up a lot of nostalgia and good memories from the time. I think it was a fun creative choice but also smart business move, it will draw in that y2k demographic. It was also smart including Nicki on the track, Kim has a lot of trap styles she plays around with that I can see the Barbs getting into and having an appreciation for. Kim’s developed quite a large fan base since her era 1 days, however I think the collab is an opportunity to grow Kim’s fan base even larger through Nicki who has had such a large devoted fan base over the years and continues to. I’m a fan of Nicki too, but more of a bunhead than a barb, but I think this collab will stir excitement for Nicki too & open her up to a larger fan base. I know I’ve been deep diving into more of her discography. I really respect Nicki for putting her stamp of approval on Kim, and being so supportive and gracious through the collab.

I really enjoyed the video and song, & will be streaming regularly. Love to all the Y2K kids!!! You know what I’m talking about.

Music video is inspired by club classics including Eric Prydz’s “Call on Me,” Alex Gaudino’s “Destination Calabria,” Princess Superstar “Perfect,“ and Fedde Le Grand’s “Put Your Hands Up For Detroit.”

Love the inspiration, brought me back to that era. Really fun video!!!

idk if it's just me, but her face is translating that she seems very uncomfortable.

I sensed a little of that too. But I also saw a lot of moments of her letting loose and committing and exuding so much confidence, the majority of the video I love her energy and confidence. Kim is just one of those quirky people too, she’s going to be a little awkward, especially if a viewer is uncomfortable with their own awkwardness, it’s just apart of who she is, it makes her more relatable, however I think the more she’s able to discover how to play to her strengths with that and know how to play to a camera, folks will really see her shine. There were only a few moments for me too where I felt like the energy could’ve been up or she could’ve been playing more to the camera with her face, most of those being the yoga mat & ball sequences. But I can’t judge her for that, she’s such a pioneer, and part of that is directing. I loved the band bit and how fun it was, that was her being Kim and campy and I thought it was so fun. She also made a great dominatrix. So many moments she nailed embraced her quirk & just looked like she was having fun. It was so fun for me to see. Mad respect. She has peers and friends who will help her with her presence too, her fan base love her. This is a transition from independent artist to major label, I sense she’s fought a lot of battles too, she’ll keep gaining her confidence and learning the tricks of the trade and playing to the camera. Love cheering her on and loved her video. She’s so lovable, and infectious, such amazing vocals & so multi talented.

As someone who has been following her for such a long time it's so cool to see her star rising and literally giving high budget music videos with a big feature.

Still not a big fan of the song, but hope she'll keep bringing the bops

the chorus is gr8 but the verses and nickis part are bad

kims older music is much better - she had a sense of identity, this just seems like a generic pop remake of a bigger and better song. if the verses were better, it wouldve been a bop

Yeah, agreed. I'm not opposed to interpolation/sampling per se, but I also miss her old sounds. I don't blame her for riding the mainstream wave, but Sl*t Pop and Problematique were so much fun and I miss those songs

I know right!! I was going to say Kim looks so uncomfortable, it's like they only gave her one take to do the video.

Edit: love the video though! A bit plain but tbh I'm loving it.

Kim Petras, stop working with shítty people, I promise you’ll be better off in the long-run. Collab with a non-problematic artist and score a top-10 hit without compromising yourself. I want to see her succeed without feeling gross.

Tbh it’s kinda cute seeing KP unable to control her excitement standing next to Nicki :glamourpuss:

I've seen a lot of music videos and performances of hers and she always looks uncomfortable. She's not going to be a successful music video or live performance artist, but if she can find more hits, the music talent is there.
