After all, it was released as a promo single the day before Chromatica released so there was at least an intention but we all know what happened then, during the album release, that took away from everything else that was happening. It was clear they knew the potential this song had and the force of BP's fanbase. Had she pushed Sour Candy further after everything calmed down a bit I think it still would've pulled decent numbers: including it in the VMA performance, a music video... heck, even film herself with her verses and let BLACKPINK use it for their many performances. She was going to be everywhere from March-June 2020. Sour Candy would’ve definitely been a moment. I know it was COVID and all but Blackpink were also working on The Album to release the very next month so it wasn't like they were at home doing nothing. They both had the crew ready to work on something. It'd have been nice to see all 5 of them in a Kill This Love or How You Like That type of visuals, not to mention Gaga's ideas. Such a shame. Edit: I guess the girls were in South Korea and Gaga in the USA so it was a different situation than just Gaga doing 911 with her own people but still, they could've done this in 2021.
