I still can’t believe we didn’t get a music video for it, I think it would’ve been a massive hit. Especially with the support of BlackPink fans.

I really wanted a video with this type of choreo

This other one still slays

It would have been a #1 but maybe they didn’t want another duet to be a hit after shallow and then rain on me .. but it would have been nice for us ..

yeah I think this was reason

gaga definitely read those “thanks Ariana thanks Bradley” shady comments from the haters

her pride did not allow this to happen sadly

Yet she expected Stupid Love to hit #1 with that cheap music video

I don't think labels nor Gaga herself cares about this as much as fans like to think, those are the type of things that usually coexist only inside twitter and stan wars to put her down over their fave... After all, it was released as a promo single the day before Chromatica released so there was at least an intention but we all know what happened then, during the album release, that took away from everything else that was happening.

It was clear they knew the potential this song had and the force of BP's fanbase. Had she pushed Sour Candy further after everything calmed down a bit I think it still would've pulled decent numbers: including it in the VMA performance, a music video... heck, even film herself with her verses and let BLACKPINK use it for their many performances. And yet they just let it go...

I feel the same, I like think that she doesn’t read Twitter comments or anything that is negative, let alone make decisions based on that kind of behavior…

When it become a promotional single and the Lyric video was uploaded, I really thought a music video was coming, I mean  the lyric video has 22 Million views, just imagine an official Music video :bradley:

I really hope Gaga and Bobby can reuse a lot of their cancelled promo plans from Chromatica for her next album. She was going to be everywhere from March-June 2020. Sour Candy would’ve definitely been a moment.

More like "Sexxx Dreams" (not itunes version) was the hit that got away :vegas:

We'll just have to be patient and wait for it to be featured in a Netflix show in 2047 and become a top 60 hit

Bonkers

Couple unpopular thoughts:

Your fav getting views on youtube doesn't validate your existence

The song isn't that good

Clicking sad validates me :classy:

sour candy is a bop and would have smashed obviously but it's overrated imo

alice, replay and babylon were the REAL hits that got away and that's the tea sis.

you can serve it to me ancient city style...

I still can't believe they didn't make it happen. I know it was COVID and all but Blackpink were also working on The Album to release the very next month so it wasn't like they were at home doing nothing. They both had the crew ready to work on something. It'd have been nice to see all 5 of them in a Kill This Love or How You Like That type of visuals, not to mention Gaga's ideas. Such a shame.

Edit: I guess the girls were in South Korea and Gaga in the USA so it was a different situation than just Gaga doing 911 with her own people but still, they could've done this in 2021.
