Princess Diana - for HIV/AIDS stigma when she hug HIV/AIDS patient at a hospital to stop the stigma. LADY GAGA - for Dont Ask, Dont Tell, and Gay Marriage and Born This Way song. i can name alot of artist and public figures who are gay icons but you get my point by citing this two example. going back to Ava Max..what does she do for LGBTQ community aside from traumatizing me because of the lopsided wig. CatelynnMarie 4,406 Posted April 23, 2023 Share Posted April 23, 2023 okay so this is me saying this as an ava fan. i don't get that vibe from her. i could be wrong but i really just didn't and still don't get the vibe. i think she's her own artist, but a part of me almost sees her as like, being "shown" as a parody of a pop artist if that makes sense. i think because of all of the bs she's had to go through, we haven't really seen her authentic self like to the core. idk this is hard for me to articulate. i see her as an ally, but i don't see her as like, a major major gay icon. i can say though she's more known i think through the lgbtq pop scene than anything else as far as i know. regardless, stream Diamonds and Dancefloors because it's a solid pop record Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
