I've always liked that Gaga was lowkey cool with her stuff leaking. Of course she never wants it to but she'll sing Brooklyn Nights with the pit at the artRAVE, leak Aura herself, or make jokes when future projects leak (like Stupid Love)

This topic has me so torn. As someone who collects (hoards) digital media and treasures everything related my favs it’s hard for me not to enjoy leaks/seek them out (though I try to stick with things that are older/not confirmed for new albums). But I also understand how frustrating and borderline anxiety inducing it must be for artists to have their work leak—especially with stuff they intend to release

I am far from being an expert but I think it has something to do with how frequently the tracks are shared from person to person while being made. Artists who record at multiple studios seem to have more leaks, whereas artists with only one or two studios seem to have less (thinking of Taylor and Billie). Maybe in sending songs back and forth and storage in multiple locations does it. But I could be wrong.

Yeah idk Gaga cares but also…she’s kinda a real one and doesn’t labor too hard over it lmao tbh though she’s never had a bad leak. Chromatica demos weren’t great but the final versions were pretty different so whatever. I think she doesn’t really care about unreleased bc to her it’s like well I guess someone likes it LOL but brooklyn nights is a diff thing bc she fully meant that song to be on ARTPOP before the change out so I think in her mind that one belongs with fans

plus i honestly think their record labels make them say stuff like this and that they truly dont care either. 

now, if its a brand new project passionately crafted and stuff.. i get it, that sucks (but i still dont feel bad about it) but if theyre like old demos or songs that didnt make the cut...

So you're saying that artists who are rich aren't allowed to have any privacy in their work whatsoever?

Art is for expression, and the artists owe the fans nothing. They are allowed, like anyone else, to create music without wanting it to be heard. Just because they make it doesn't mean it should be leaked.

A ton of the Ariana leaks are very private and personal songs, so your take isn't cool.

look its nice you are kind of protective of this person who doesnt even know who you are, but having their music leak is not that big of a deal, if it upsets you then thats kinda weird. im sure they knew this stuff happened all the time when they signed up for it, i see your point tho, but im not gonna play the manager and report every site/video of a gaga song if it leaks, im gonna listen to it 

p.s i just watched the video and she almost looks like shes laughing about it, i thought she was gonna be sad or serious???????? i honestly think she doesnt care.

p.s 2 i just watched the long clip where she talks about it and she in fact laughed

No one is asking you to report and act like a manager. I was only calling out your BS take that just because she's rich, it's okay for all of her music to get leaked... lol..
