SimonBaetens 6,891
I appreciate the sentiment but I don't see this doing well commercially. It has catchy elements that remind me of SZA and Raye but it's also a bit plain. when you're lonely, I'll be lonely too / https://www.last.fm/user/SimonBaetens
Levine 22,803
Fantastic song and great video with a great message at the end. She was a good actress too, the ending part got me. I don't know how the UK market works, for example in Italy artists are already releasing summer songs so a song like this wouldn't work here. I don't know if it's the same WW, but this song would have been great during October/November or January/February. Wish her well, she deserves. Unfortunately without radio support and a label it is likely this won't do well, despite being a great song.
faysalaaa 3,106
Its a weird choice for a first single, but I kinda love it? Its not the best song, but I think shes going in the right direction. I was expecting something really bad from her.
StrawberryBlond 14,216
Really impressed. The song is of a deeply mature level that she never did with Little Mix and the video is an absolute sucker punch to the gut, one of the few good music videos I've seen this year. Getting Amy Winehouse vibes from this and her vocals are really emotional. After Boyz, I didn't think this is the route she'd take, so I applaud her for taking such a risk, especially considering she's still trying to get her solo career started. I fear she'll struggle to even hit top 20 with this as it's not radio friendly or a happy bop but I hope its serious subject matter at the very least gets it some level of media attention. So many people put down Boyz and I actually liked it but it's great to see her expanding what she can do to give her more credibility.

I fear it won't chart though as she's had zero radio support and limited playlisting As part of Little Mix she was always at the radio stations on release day but it looks like she wasn't invited, it seems they are blacklisting her. I think she doesn't expect chart success though, she just seems to be happy releasing music she loves. She's only done one tv interview and one interview with The Sun. She seems happy and content. I feel like she's dropping this song as a palette cleanser to help better her image. It doesn't look like she'll be promoting any further as she's going to New York in a few days to write music with Tayla Parx (Bad Thing, Sweet Melody, Thank u next, 7 rings).
