Gaga on a Country Award Show?

Do you all think that Lady Gaga will ever attend a country award show and perform? It seems to be a big trend now for non-country artists to perform with country artists and present at country music award shows.

Last night’s CMT Award had Gwen Stefani and Alanis Morissette perform as well as Megan Thee Stallion presenting. The CMA Awards (which are  the biggest country award show) has had artists like Beyoncé, Katy Perry, and Ariana Grande perform in recent years. The ACM Awards (the oldest country award show) has recently has performances by Kelly Clarkson, P!nk, and Khalid.

Would you be down for a Gaga performance at a country award show? If so what would you like her to perform? Would she “countrify” one of her hit songs or perform a song like Shallow (which Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood have covered) or a song off of Joanne.

And what country artists would you like Gaga to perform with on stage? Or collaborate with on a track which is another big trend to have a pop artist feature on a country singer’s song.

I can see her doing it maybe later in her career like a couple decades even down the line! She would kill it!

I'd love a tribute performance, not sure for who though.

Didn’t she do a live collaboration with a country group on the Grammys nomination show in 2011? It definitely seems possible. Country is my least favorite genre, but I’d be here for any genre that Gaga wants to do

I could see her being a part of a tribute performance for Shania Twain or Dolly.

If it didn't happen with "Million Reasons", I dunno if I see it happening in the future. But, it's possible.

I mean I can see it happening, it’s very within her capabilities to run circles around a lot of country acts in terms of raw talent and an authentic Americana sound (a lot of country acts are pop music artists with a a southern twang, singing about beer, dirt roads, parties, etc.).

Her crossover marketing has worked its magic with Super Bowl national anthem, Super Bowl, C2C, Joanne & ASIB for the CMA demographics to recognize Gaga as an undeniable talent.

If a legacy act called her up to pay tribute to them, I don’t think she would turn it down. I really think Gaga is her best when she’s tributing other artists and she loves to do it. The amazing thing about Gaga is she is not shy about recognizing those that inspire her. Proving their influence by imitating them is such a Gaga thing.

I’m curious if during Joanne there were conversations around her dipping into the country music demo. I’m glad she didn’t, because the country music circles politics are very harsh. When Beyonce performed her song it got backlash. If Gaga were to do it, I’d think she would do a country song not of her own.

She also seemed to have a blast in her duet with Sugarland at the Grammy nominations concert.

That is true. She has mentioned how her mother used to play country music as she was from West Virginia which I am assuming were legacy artists. I could definitely see Gaga covering a Dolly classic like ‘Coat of Many Colors’, and Dolly has even expressed that she likes Gaga.

I could even see her collaborating with more modern country artists on stage like Miranda Lambert who likes Gaga and even covered ‘You and I’ on tour! Or more progressive artists like Kacey or Maren.
