Head Empty 24,260 Posted April 4, 2023 Share Posted April 4, 2023 I hated live action remakes before, but I can somewhat understand trying to adapt old films for a modern audience (although I would argue that the old animations are timeless). This one is just not warranted at all. Moana is still a stunning film by modern standards. Adapting it seems like an excuse to milk an already popular story. And just like the other remakes did, it will probably drain all of the animated charm out of the original. I'm getting so sick of these massive projects where money is the obvious motivator.
