Jimin’s “Like Crazy” blasts in at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 songs chart, marking his first leader – and the first for a member of superstar South Korean pop group BTS. He’s also the first South Korean solo artist to lead the list.

Streams, airplay & sales: “Like Crazy” sold 254,000 song downloads and CD singles combined and drew 10 million streams and 64,000 radio airplay audience impressions in its first week (March 24-30).

The song’s original version, sung in Korean, and its English version were released March 24, while its “Deep House” and “UK Garage” mixes and an instrumental version arrived March 26, with all available in BTS’ webstore and at wide retail for 69 cents each, while a CD single of the original mix was on sale in BTS’ webstore for $1.99.

but why. It's so bland, generic and boring. Maybe I'm too stupid or too old to know. Anyway, congrats

quality of a song doesn't matter when it comes to charting - just the size of a fanbase of an artist - which is why I do not understand why people put so much emphasis on it. sad!

He's the most popular member. I (used to) like bts, but i feel weird seeing him getting a number 1 while the other member solos barely cracked top50 and charted only a week

He is the 3rd most popular member, V and Jungkook are much more popular. Jungkook will probably have the most succesful solo debut out of all, his appeal at an international career is crazy. The other solos didn’t do as well because two of them are rappers ( which are almost always the least popular in a kpop group ), and Jin is the least popular singer in the group. But what is shocking is Jimin’s poor chart performance in Korea. Like... SHOCKING. They focused too much on the west in the past 3 years and their sales and chart performances reflect that in their homecountry. What’s interesting about kpop is that a lot of those mega popular kpop groups are more popular overseas than in their own country.
