I get they want big names to pull in viewers but honestly this is probably a good thing for both Gaga and the Oscars. HMH was good but it was no ASIB and Shallow, Save all the Joker 2 hype for next year to try recreate some of that magic.

She was snubbed for HoG role so I still believe she's played it well. She will be on fire once Joker's marketing campaign starts with all of the music and freaky epic moments, another ASIB era is coming. They will be literally begging her to be a part of oscars, so they need to learn how to treat a legend. I truly wanted her to perform HMH tho. I think she's playing it this way in order not to make her ASIB Oscar and other awards to look easily won plus she's trying to starve the audience a little bit for herself

Well, I think we would all have hoped for a performance, especially since it's a song she's performed a lot before on tour, so it's nothing that new to her. But she's exhausted herself before in the past, so I believe we can all respect her decision. From what I've seen, fans have anyway.

If she really pulled out last minute, I think it's safe to say she really tried.
