Taylor is not the amazing songwriter she is made out to be, her lyrics are mediocre at best most of the time and her melodies are average at best

Billie Eilish is still not appreciated enough for her songwriting skills and for her vocals and she is often dismissed as overrated because of the demographic that mostly stans her

Gaga should go fully experimental pop (not necessarily dark, but experimental) for at least one era because I always thought she would kill that (kinda similar to BTW but much more alternative pop). Sadly there's not way that's gonna happen anymore, especially not after Joanne and Chromatica

Avril Lavigne is better than all the Pop Girls except Gaga.

Edit: and I do mean both her old major successful music but also her newer albums are amazing and all seven have individual vibes.

MPGs are hindered by stans because stans by the day grow less and less willing to let them grow and less and less media literate and it would be better if all of the girls stopped paying so much attention to what stans say and demand from them

This… i was expecting ARTPOP to be more experimental than what we got at the time. But I agree. I’m not saying she should do what Bjork does because nobody can do Bjork better than herself but I would love if Gaga did something completely out there than what’s she normally does with her music.

she's actually a really good lyricist 

her writing style could work with many genres

- Kylie, Cher, Madonna, J-Lo, Britney and Lana can all sing pretty well, actually. Seriously, look up some of their best ever live performances. They save their best vocals for their fans.

- Christina Aguilera has been terribly slept on for a while. Her last English album, Liberation, was her best album since 2006 but no one seemed to care. Some of her recent Spanish work has been very good too.

- I've never found Rihanna's badass bitch image to be endearing or genuine particularly because she's had very little songwriting or creative control over her entire career.

- Lana Del Rey is one of the most outstanding songwriters of all time and should be the reigning Grammy champion by now. I also still believe Born To Die to be her best album.

- Pink has stayed in her comfort zone for too long and her music hasn't been truly good since 2009.

- Jennifer Lopez is one of the greatest performers from an all-round perspective.

- I don't get why Ariana Grande's Thank U, Next era is so acclaimed, particularly the lead single.

- Beyonce's ballads are better than her uptempo dance tunes and I still think her debut is her best work.

- Taylor Swift has her moments but her talents as a songwriter are well overblown.

- I prefer Shakira's English songs to her Spanish ones.

- Dua Lipa is not all that. Future Nostalgia is her better work but the majority of it is just ok.
