i'm sorry for the caps but OH MY GOD NO?!?!?! omg i didn't even know it was a thing?!?!?! literally about to go look after this response lmao.

i feeeel it. i kept looking at Teslas for a while just because of how futuristic/ innovative and cool they just are, but i agree like after hearing people complain so much about the build quality and how much it actually costs for literally anything that could go wrong, even the smallest thing, it's literally thousands. just not worth it. i do have to say though that i am excited we're starting to get more self driving vehicles and moving into that direction. not just for my own benefit, but i really see how it could help so many people who aren't able to drive themselves for whatever reason. i have a whole theory about this that i won't put here just because it's kind of irrelevant to the topic, but i know with the boom of Tesla, it really has helped push that tech industry forward and it has me excited lol

After test driving basically every new electric vehicle, it’s good so far but far from great, I’m hoping AI pops in there at some point, to me the systems majority have the brain of a 7 year old on what to do. And when a system relies on plug on direct information like red lights and road lines they aren’t always accurate, I’ve thought this once and thought it a thousand times, if they can plug in the ai and share data on road that have been driven before self driving would come way faster. Like I wish I could teach my car how I drive on my route to work a couple times and it remembered how I drive so I don’t have to drive it.
I was having panic attacks on the highway and that’s another reason I got a electric car but I still get nervous sometimes if the lines aren’t perfect or people are driving erratic

I’m jealous, the us has like 3 janky options for brands, any other country gets awesome tech that the us Deems unfit for some reason, or crazy mark up for imports

like cameras for mirrors are legal in the UK but the us is still living in the 1800s and won’t allow manufacturers to try stuff

I don’t like socializing, I’ll end up doing something stupid that’ll embarrass me so I don’t look or start pretending I’m doing something. Litterally if I’m heading to work and I see my neighbors come outside to leave I will sit in my car and wait a few mins after they leave so I don’t have to see them at a stop light

My mother's old Opel. I will drive it untill it stops working. If I had money and the possibilities to use one, I would drive an electric car.

Being broke or having no license is the only option for not having a car?

Sold mine a few years ago because there is just no need to own a car in a city like Berlin where public transportation works fairly well.
