So here's a database with info on where, how and when to meet Gaga in your city. I decided to create this thread, to give everybody the chance to not only see their idol, but to meet monsters in the area. The week that I "stalked" Gaga in Melbourne was the best of my life. You don't realise what a truly great fanbase it is until you start meeting fans in real life. I'd go early in the morning, and people already there at the same time would offer to buy everyone coffee. We'd share blankets, stories, sing and dance all day. When it reached late at night and people were beginning to file away, people would always check around to make sure everyone had a lift and/or felt safe getting home. I can't wait until Gaga gets back to my city, but until that point - I wanted to give everyone else a good opportunity to experience the joy and happiness that I felt. PAUL - St. Paul Hotel OTHERS - Unknown, comment if you know WHEN TO MEET GAGA ARRIVAL DAY - This is the day with the most chances of sighting Gaga, but due to large crowds, may be the day with the least chances of MEETING her. Nonetheless, nine times out of ten you'll see CONCERT DAY/S - This day is almost entirely pointless. As I did, you might get the opportunity to meet lots of people from the Haus. CONCERT NIGHT/S - Around 11, Gaga will be returning to her hotel. You have a good chance of meeting her at this time. OFF-CONCERT DAY/S, NIGHT/S - This is sometimes a good chance to meet Gaga. She often stays in her hotel all day and goes out to dinner/casinos/clubs by night. LEAVING DAY - Whilst you have a fairly good chance of sighting Gaga, by this time most people will know where she's staying and will want to catch her, which makes it hard to properly meet her. GAGA'S TRANSPORT Gaga always has three black Mercedes-Benz vans (pictured below). They're more often than not parked outside the hotel lobby in the car spaces available. In Melbourne, before she left the building, they would be turned on and move to a secondary, less-busy exit, where we were able to get to on foot and meet her there. A LOT MORE COMING SOON. Actually that reminds me, she's also stayed at The Lanesborough too (my mum saw her exit, lucky b---h ). I think she seems to be most comfortable with The Langham now though, and it's also a lot more discrete than the other hotels. Tbh I'm pretty doubtful I'll get to properly 'meet' her...I've seen how nuts it gets outside with everyone waiting. Like you I'll probably barely get a glimpse! I'll definitely give it a good go though as the hotel is only 15 mins away from me after all! I've actually been wanting to go to the restaurant there for ages too, so I might book a table while she's there and cross my fingers I get extra lucky... Sorry for the late reply! Just wanted to add a few points. Firstly, while I didn't manage to get a picture, a few people did. This awesome French guy I befriended actually got a picture with her EVERY SINGLE TIME she made an appearance because I think she just recognised him and always walked up to him for a photo. Also, at about 11pm on the day I was there, her tall, bald bodyguard came outside and told us she had turned in for the night and that he was done with work for the day. We were all pretty bummed because we had waited the whole day and somehow some of her "well known" UK fans (I think they call themselves the "locals" or something, they all have met her quite a few times) had been tipped off about her location and managed to get pics with her at some recording studio in London before she came back to the hotel. When she did come back, she used the back entrance and we didn't see her... Everyone was looking pretty bleak, so I ran up and down the crowd and convinced everyone to sing Applause. She must've heard us from her hotel room because 15 mins later her other bodyguard came and gave us a big box cookies and read us a handwritten note from her :cool: So all 40-50 of us shared the cookies and some of us had pictures with the note before the hotel manager took the note back inside. My point is that sometimes you're lucky and sometimes others are and you're left feeling pretty let down. It's important to remember that Gaga deals with this kind of attention every single day of her life and so she doesn't always make a sterling effort to make appearances, etc, which is totally understandable. I could rant and rant for ages about my Langham experiences anyway, the issue with meeting Gaga in the UK for anybody who wants to know is that you probably won't meet her, there's always too many people and half of the fans are rude, i've been threatened before to not stand in certain places by other fans and such, you will literally have to camp outside the hotel if you want the slightest chance of a meet, getting there early will NOT help you. That being said, her hotel is usually The Langham in Oxford Circus, but now that everyone knows about her location and its a s--t show even when she's not coming out that day, it wouldn't surprise me if she stays somewhere else. Previous hotels have been The Dorchester and The Lanesborough, if you hear about the location on arrival day it's probably a lie made up by fans and she will be somewhere else. I met Gaga while she was going in for a rehearsal, we knew she was going to be there, most fans were at the hotel and therefore didn't meet her. It's not just about 'wait for x amount of hours and you'll get a photo', it's complete luck so don't get your hopes up and don't go if you're not really good with other loud fans Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
