Rihanna was never the strongest performer to me. There are many times where she slayed the stage up, but objectively there are better performers than Rih. This is not necessarily a bad thing, as I love her music and enjoy many of her performances, but so many people seem to agree she's not the best performer. I really wish I had this in mind at the moment of the performance! That being said, people also had extremely high expectations for this performance. Hell, even me. And it's honestly reasonable, it was meant to be her comeback to stage after all. Sooo many people expected her to make a show as good as Katy's or Gaga's, which also contributed to build the massive hype this show had. The stage and dancers were, in my opinion, excellent. Many people said that Rihanna didn't put any effort but we really don't know how she felt at the moment. I guess the only solid thing that may support it is that she didn't attend many rehearsals (was the reason ever known? Something related to her pregnancy? ). I say Rih could have been better because: 1. I had extremely high expectations, which I think it's more my fault than anything. 2. It was your comeback! THE SUPER BOWL! Come on girl! I know she's pregnant, and I wish all the best for her and her baby but I think there could have been many ways to make the performance more entertaining, like a little more dancing and coordination, or props.
