Julia Fox addresses backlash for working with Alexander Wang

Shortly after it was discovered that Julia Fox had walked Alexander Wang’s runway during New York Fashion Week— a runway that also saw Anna Wintour, Nikita Dragun, Amanda Lepore, and Ava Max in attendance — she was called out for hypocrisy since her brand is based on female empowerment and ending the patriarchy.
On TikTok, user @marleeloiben wrote, “Julia doesn’t walking for Alexander Wang fo against everything you stand for??

Fox addressed the user, writing, “2b frank i love cancel culture but we do need to leave room for rehabilitation & for those who put in the work & heal & learn from their mistakes.”

The mistakes in question involve several allegations that state Wang, 39, sexually assaulted multiple men in the past, many of whom came forward in 2020 with disconcerting experiences working with the famed fashion designer. Wang, for his part, vehemently denied these allegations when they emerged, but did eventually release a public statement in March 2021 promising to “do better” in the future. source

One day, people will realize that celebrities are not to be used as moral guides. They will always fail you. 

I believe that a great many celebs are good people at their core, but good people are still prone to poor choices. We place these celebrities on a pedestal only to later be shocked when their rationale and decision making proves to be occasionally problematic, and we never end up learning from it. 

Celebrities are going to make dumb as **** choices and say dumb as **** things, especially when it comes down to money making opportunities. At this point we are setting ourselves up to later be outraged.

Take it to Julia Fox to get the leftovers and embrace every problematic people. Dates Kanye, befriends con artist Anna Sorokin, and now we'll probably see her spray tanning with Trump. This is a shameless way of keeping her name in the press that reeks of desperation. To think that even some around here see her as relatable, an icon or a queen...

I don't know why ppl still haven't figured this out which should be so obvious

 

They may be on the spotlight and thus try to be more careful with their action and words than a typical person but they are still ppl. On top of that they are rich ppl with successful careers with a lot to loose if they get cancelled so many will also be prone to be fake af out of social pressure to be perfect 

 

Humans have a tendency to be hypocritical (often without even realizing it) and make poor choices and mistakes

 

All these ppl who drag the crap out of celebrities would probably be cancelled so hard themselves if their life became public

 

Any small percentage of ppl that may exist that  have a truly moral upright heart, true integrity and consistency without hypocrisy... It's not likely many of them are celebrities
