Sam Smith and Kim Petras came 'under-fire' after their 'satanic' performance of Unholy during the 65th annual Grammys at the weekend.

But The Church of Satan begs to differ, with magister David Harris saying he was underwhelmed by the singers who were 'nothing particularly special'.

Despite the hell-themed rendition branded 'evil' by American politicians Ted Cruz and Congresswomen Marjorie Taylor Greene, the senior Church of Satan figure thought that the stereotypical imagery used by the musicians was just 'alright.'

David said that red clothing, devil horns and fire are 'kind of passe' now.

 

Whilst the politician's claims referred to The Satanic Temple - a different group - the Church Of Satan member added: 'It's sad when politicians on a national stage use someone's religion as a punchline.'

He went on to call Senator Ted Cruz, Congresswomen Marjorie Taylor Greene and Lauren Boebert 'a bunch of delicate snowflakes.' 

The magister said the Church of Satan feel Lil Nas X's 'Montero' is more in line with the philosophies of the organisation.

This whole debate about Satan is so funny to me. The only real Satan I've seen in my life is human beings and the amount of suffering they inflict on others. Worry about that
