The difference is also because Renaissance has been treated by media like the second coming and a masterpiece and a record we’re all supposed to bow down to, and Diamonds and Dancefloors is very much an underdog and mostly ignored and undiscovered and undervalued by the media.   The threads in here sometimes probably like to celebrate and champion under the radar music.  But it’s also all a matter of taste. There are def rapturous comments about Renaissance from people who love it too.
