literally. that's a huge part of why people even have the service. the whole point is binging **** as you go with your day, not to sit in front of your TV and watch stuff like other streaming services. idk what their end goal is but they're alienating a HUGE part of their users.

yeah that's also a good point. could it be that they randomly ask for a  login once a month and you wouldn't see it coming or something? idk

Who knows. All I know is this is the stupidest work around they could've come up with. So complicated and so flawed and for WHAT? As many people will leave and they are 'losing out on' by account sharing.

I'm actually impressed with my idea before and I think I literally solved the problem. You pay $10 for an initial account for one user, and then $7 per additional user on that account, with a limit on how many users per household. Then it doesn't even matter if you're in the same house, it's affordable and accessible for everyone, they don't have to bother with the whole IP tracking bullsh.it, they don't have all these ridiculous tiers of low def HD with/without ads etc. They'd probably more more money tbh because each individual would be happy to pay a small amount to join someone's account, and they'd avoid all the people cancelling because they can't afford it on their own. I hate these big corporate people so much and they are so dumb

I'll be myself until they fūcking close the coffin.

Also UM WTF??? People watch Netflix on their bus/train commute to work. My clients watch their shows on my work's internet while their hair processes. People watch Netflix while waiting for appointments and using local WIFI. How the HELL is this going to work?? Now you can only watch it at home? Then what the hell is the point in having the app?

And if they determine 'trusted' devices by them logging into the approved wifi once a month and then they can use the app... then what's to stop me from going to my friend's house once a month to connect to their 'approved' wifi and then chromecasting it from my app all month?

Extremely flawed system

You're probably willing to bring your iPad,laptop etc to your friends house but you're probably not going to haul your smart TV all the way there to validate. A few people will get around this by chromecasting, airplay, etc as you say you will, but the vast majority will not be doing that and will never have heard of it

It's giving tumblr with their adult content and everybody moving to twitter. And just like them, they'll have to go back once they see how flawed this really is... but maybe it will be too late by then, as I'm sure many shows will want to migrate to other streaming forces

What if your vacation is longer than 31 days? And what about people owning 2 places? Like we go back and forth between countries.

I really hope this backfires :yennefer:

Tbh I’m looking forward to my family paying for their own accounts rather than relying on me paying for the premium subscription so they can all watch it for free.

No, not 31 days. If you are consecutively out of your primary place for more than 7 days you will be blocked. The vacation password only works for 7 days.

The 31 days are for people who don't use their account a lot

The most stupid thing I've seen in a while. If I'm paying for a service I should be able to use it as I please. That includes sharing it with someone who's not paying for it. Capitalism is f***ing wild.
