SILENT HILL 1,710
I agree most have similar vibes, but I still always listen to new music she releases. Some of her songs are absolute BOPS! “My Head & My Heart” was on my Spotify top five this past year!
Cameltoe Chariot 14,756
I agree that a lot of her songs sound very same-y, but my issue with her is in her vocals. I think she's a very good singer, but she lacks personality and grit in her voice and ends up just sounding like an American Idol runner-up in my opinion

All of Gagas albums all sample something. And Beyonce's new album has what 16 songs and 13 of them use samples heavily. Where as on Avas first album out of the 16 songs only 3 songs use samples while on Diamonds and Dancefloors only 2 out of 14 songs use samples. I don't get the obsession with anyone who comes at Ava for sampling when yeah sure she does it but so does literally everyone and the songs she did sample Ava made her own and are probably her favorite songs by casually listeners and thats not a bad thing. Anveeroy 57,976
I agree with the current album. I couldn’t find any differences between the songs. Stream Kylie-Janet Discographies!

Maxine Puth 9,053
The music I’ve heard from her sounds like it was written for preteen girls who just got out of 2 month long relationships, which is great, if you’re a preteen girl who just got out of a 2 month long relationship. Like I’m sure she’s a good influence and all, I just don’t see how she’s become a cult icon on a site like this. It’s more surprising than anything, especially when I associate gay icons to people like Gaga, Lana, Charli XCX, Beyoncé, etc. they have a bit more maturity to their image and sound. So you didn't make a good point at all. Also the sole fact that there's always a discussion about Ava sampling songs is enough to prove my point. YouCanSitWithUs 394
I actually sat with my roommate for 2 hours (we LOVED Sweet But Psycho and really wanted her to be the next big thing), but we had been confused why she kept sounding the same even though the songs were different. And we realized it's her voice. She is technically a good singer but her voice just blends to much or somethin. She doesn't do weird **** with it at all so it's not memorable. We were listening to the album at one point realizing we weren't even paying attention to her voice or the lyrics anymore.

You and I and Venus are two shining examples of major sample usage. And the only reason people bring up Ava being the "sample queen" is because her popular and most played songs are the ones with the samples but the GP eats that up so. As i stated out of both of Avas albums with a total of 30 songs between the two only 5 songs use samples.... yeah still not a lot haha. Im sorry it bothers you so much haha
