Dennis 8,391
Emboldened by the fact that he's facing little to no resistance at home, Putin plans to mobolize yet more russians and send them to fight in Ukraine in a new major offensive expected to start this spring. https://www.cnn.com/2023/01/19/politics/cia-director-burns-zelensky-meeting-ukraine/index.html This comes as the U.S says that russian casualties are significantly over 100K+ so far. Personally I think ukrainian casualties are probably very high too. NATO has signficiantly ramped up aid for Ukraine in the last 2 weeks but Germany still refuses to allow Poland and Finald to donate Leopard tanks to Ukraine. U.S Secretary of Defense said today that the war will soon reach a turning a point. CIA has also warned Ukraine of the waning support for Ukraine in the U.S as republicans take over the house and right-wing pundits are increasingly vocal about their plans to force the Biden administration to abandon Ukraine. Fox News dedicates almost a daily segment to this. https://www.businessinsider.com/wapo-cia-chief-told-zelenskyy-aid-ukraine-could-become-difficult-2023-1 Personally, I'm worried. We shouldn't underestimate Russia's ability to wage long wars and high pain threshold for casualties. It just seems that hundreds of thousands of russians are willing to die for Putin. And if republicans and Germany continue to play games like this, I'm not sure how long Ukrainian resistance can last. Who knows who'll be next? Moldova most likely.
