Serbia warns Russia to stop recruiting its citizens to fight in Ukraine

In a move that symbolizes how Putin is isolating Russia more than ever before, even Serbia a traditional ally of Russia is now distancing itself from Russia.

In the last few days, the Serbian president had strong words for Russia:

"We, from the very beginning, said that we were not able and we could not support Russia's invasion against Ukraine," Vucic said, Bloomberg reported. "For us, Crimea is Ukraine, Donbas is Ukraine, and it'll remain so."

He also accused Wagner (Russian paramilitary group) of trying to recruit Serbs to fight in Ukraine and asked the russian authorities to stop such recruitment programs.

I think overall this is a good development as Serbia is increasingly showing itself to be more independent from Russia. I hope the balkan countries can make amends and work together to advance democratic values and human rights in the region, far from toxic foreign influence.

Good for Serbia.  
 

Pootin needs to stop trying to involve other countries. How hypocritical can he be, threatening other countries that try to help Ukraine but then turns around and tries to recruit all these other countries to support Russia. He’s trying to sneakily force involvement without approval from other countries’ governments and turn this into a world war. Get into the Kremlin and arrest everyone for war crimes, UN.
