To be fair, Leiomy is indeed a master of the craft and one of the best voguers ever. Aja is also great. But still, that doesn't mean they need to be so bitter about it.

absolutely correct, I guess I hope they use it as a teaching experience instead of what you just said, being bitter.

People being stupid as always. Nothing new.

I for one watch drag race for the entertainment, not to learn how to vogue correctly.

Ok wait I was too busy being a hater but Anetra actually did carry lmfaoooo

This above should be enough to tell you that Aja is pathetic. So she did the first tweets without even watching Anetra performance (a performance that was better than anything Aja showed on drag race (beside being bitter af as per usual)).

Lemme say tho that I love that Anetra's performance made more noise than the last year winner final performance (and THAT was actual noguing), when nobody said ****.

Aja has always been bitter she didn't win Drag Race or All-Stars. Kandy Muse (as much as I cant stand her) was right about Aja

Not y'all acting like a legend in ballroom is out of line for critiquing something she's mastered 💀

The attitude comes with being in the scene. Same with drag queens.

Listen she is a legend, but is obvious she’s doing this for attention. During “legendary” she had no problem with folk of all colors doing vogue, out of the sudden she’s saying is cultural appropriation.
Ball culture was all about inclusion and community and she keeps gatekeeping everything. Her Twitter is so bitter and mean. I loved her during Legendary, but there’s no way to defend her now.
remember season 11 when they had the Vogue Olympics? It was so bad and funny, yet she had no problem with that.
the issue is Anetra is going viral and getting so many followers, she wants a piece of the pie and start some drama. Period

No one was making a joke out of voguing on legendary though. That’s kind of the whole point of her thread “bitter” or not.

There’s also something to be said about the fact that voguing is believe to have started from a black transwoman, not a drag queen, and yet so many in this thread seem to be under the assumption that being a drag artist has a correlation with being able to Vogue and taking it seriously.

Anyways, that’s all part of a larger discussion that seems to be going over a lot of people’s heads.

Kind of agree on this. Like, why bring up noguing on Drag Race right after one who’s done it better than any other contestant?

But I also get where she’s coming from. Her show Legendary brought more light to the ballroom culture, and now that it got cancelled, a Drag Race queen gets all the “glory” and praise, you know?

Clock them :vegas: Watch DR and Legendary and suddenly you’re an expert. They see Leiomy as a legend and a “master” but they’re very ignorant on everything alse

She did the same thing last time with Drag Sethlas' talent show performance.

Funny thing being Drag Sethlas had been jumping from a box way before Aja did that on AS3.

I agree with you; it just doesn't feel like an issue.

Even if you don't have irl experience in the ballroom community, if you look at the documentaries like The Queen and of course Paris Is Burning, if you look at Pose, if you watch footage of them on YouTube, this is the energy. It's spicy and it's built on being loud and critical of the work. She's even said she's willing to show girls how it's done before they go on national t.v. and present something cultural that came from them.

You mentioned her being more lenient on her show. Sometimes she was, but that might be because the contestants were at a Ball explicitly there to present what they do at the highest caliber with the most respect. She doesn't know that with the girls on drag race; she just knows about a duckwalk.

She's on her personal twitter page judging vogue-ish moves on a reality show. HBO took away her job explaining how it's done correctly and now the only popular TV show is showing something that she doesn't deem quality. I personally don't get bitter from her tweets, but if they are and she's after some attention? Sounds like Wonder Woman of Vogue behavior 💅🏽

This is my Hannah Montana™️ lipgloss.

People really need to pipe down and loosen up a little. Everything doesn’t have to be that serious.
