Bad romance and Alejandro and telephone were totally events when they came out because people were excited about what she was doing with videos and tv stations actually premiered them and promod them for weeks. Videos don’t have that kind of power anymore and TikTok has replaced that level of interest. All organic hits have marketing, if anything bloody Mary is more organic than any of the songs you listed because the fans decided it was a hit on their own and created their own videos to promote it as opposed to the label paying $$$$ to produce and market the videos of the songs you speak of. Most artists that late in the game never even break the Top 20. Look at Britney or Christina. At 12 years into their career, they were no longer scoring number one hits. And to be honest Gaga still has enough hype around her that she will probably bag a few more number ones in her career. I honestly see Gaga being similar to Beyonce in that way. Bey had alot of early hits around the early and mid 2000s and then stalled at 5 #1s in 2008. Then her management got it together and almost ten years later got her on Perfect with Ed Sheeran, then Savage with Megan, and then recently Break My Soul and she now has 8 #1s. Bey went almost 10 years without a number 1 single. If it doesn't leak and Gaga keeps her streaming numbers up, I'm pretty sure the lead of LG7 can bag another number 1 for her, and if Joker 2 has a song that is somehow radio-crossover worthy ala Shallow, she could get a number 1 that way too. I'm still crossing my fingers for Bloody Mary...something tell me it is still bubbling...like I think the radio burst could give it new energy.
