I am an average listener that has never paid attention to Miley Cyrus and the new song + aesthetics made me really hooked on her. Plus, I don't think it's a revenge song. I'm of the opinion that you need to live with a song for a while before you truly know if you like it or not. There are so many Miley songs I thought were nothing special on my first listen but LOVED after a while: Slide Away, We Can't Stop, Drive, Younger Now, etc. While I can totally see how this new song could be viewed as basic on first listen, I think it will grow on people!
