Ok but why lol it’s not really a misunderstanding; they’re saying the melody sounds kinda cutesy and kiddy which it is kinda designed to do, it sounds like? I think it’s supposed to be a bit of that “talking to your inner child” type deal.

Well that doesn't make sense because the original message was saying it shouldn't have been a hit, like that's  not what people mean when they say "It sounds like a kids song" - they're just referring to the "It's me, hi" lyrics. if ppl understood that kind of nuance they wouldn't be insulting it

you shouldn’t let it get to u. Just some advise from someone who survived the PawsDown era lmao. It’s extremely frustrating to deal w negative opinions/tweets/posts about ur fav, but sometimes it’s better to just not engage and save your energy. Different Opinions are allowed

What misunderstanding? If someone thinks her music is trash, who the hell are you to tell them otherwise? There are plenty of people who think her songwriting is childish. It sounds like she’s using a dictionary to write.
