Railing 2,121 Posted January 12, 2023 Share Posted January 12, 2023 As far as I'm concerned, Teenage Dream was her best ERA but One of the Boys was her best ALBUM. One of the Boys is such a consistent, good and underrated album. There's a consistent pop rock sound that I miss in her newer work. Aside from being a deeply personal yet tongue-in-cheek breakup album, it also delves into self-image quite a bit, from femininity in the title track, to visual insecurities and suicidal ideation in I'm Still Breathing, to frustration with the current state of her life in Lost and Fingerprints.
