LBR just let this girl do what she wants with her music. If she wants to promote it til the tour start, she is welcome. It's not often for MPG who got large fanbase to be this ambitious about promo music anymore. Especially when her new music actually resonates with regular people. Swifties are very fortunate to have a fave like Taylor.

But I definitely do not understand what appeal anyone has over digital covers. From a fan's perspective, there's something appealing to collecting physical items and versions of things. But what are you gonna do with a digital file of a picture, that you can just find online?

Fans, even in the pretty super forgiving circles of the fandom (at least the ones I can communicate with / am somewhat a part of) are not happy with this (mostly because the voice note about the songs are taken from an interview, and aren't anything new, and aren't actually behind the song, but her explaining the meaning as if the songs she has decided to include these need an explanation as to the meaning).

I hope it comes to her attention and changes her behavior. I and others would probably feel a little differently if these were in depth voice clips behind the song, that weren't taken from a literal interview. Sad to see.

There's a difference between wanting to have a million dollars and having $450 million dollars and skimming another $1 million from fans without adding any artistic value. If she wanted fans to have these photos she would have done a single deluxe with an art book and called it a day.
