Yeah, not controversial, common sense. If you need 18 people to block a vote and only have 6, you're not blocking anything. Individual members still need the democratic party at the end of the day. For their own legislation, for re-election funds, and for campaign endorsement. It's pretty clear that the party wanted Nancy, and defecting from that would have made everything harder. But then I see many people wanting McCarthy to lose from the democratic side. My question is, do we really feel confident that the other republican candidates to win the speaker nomination?
