I also know that Top Gun was going to be released in 2020, so was HMH recorded all the way back then or did Gaga and BloodPop revisit it during the pandemic? My guess is that it’s a song they started working on during the Chromatica sessions but kept coming back to it during the pandemic when they presented it to Tom. She made Joanne in 2016, ASIB in 2016-2018, recorded LFS in 2018, all while making Chromatica from 2017-2020. There was one point she was working on three albums at once in 2018, not to mention she was featuring on other albums and filmed for AHS and ASIB during this time (and went on a world tour, Super Bowl, Coachella). You‘re so right, especially when we think about the fact that Chromatica is also like 3 years old and most Songs were finished by late 2019 already.
