20 and more weeks: doesn't chart if it's under #50

52 and more weeks: doesn't chart if under #25

this rule is for songs that already charted for 20/52 weeks . Bloody Mary never charted on The Hot 100.

I mean.. now the song is known worldwide... I cannot open TikTok without finding myself in front of the viral trend :saladga: Sounds very strange to me that has not yet entered the BH100..

The Hot 100 is the US chart. Bloody Mary isn't in the top 100 on Spotify or Apple Music in the US.

..because charts in general and in particular the abysmal  BB single chart are based on metrics ( radio, streaming , Digital Sales ) that alone are not able to measure the real popularity of a Song...examples.?

but you can't expect songs to chart based on a few seconds of the song in a tik tok video, it makes much more sense to count the play of the whole song on other streaming platforms

Christmas songs are the biggest factor and all those songs will have already started to have ceased play 2 days ago. There were also some major name releases recently as well as people getting into the best end-of-year songs. But we're about to enter a long wait for a major international superstar release in that post-Christmas period. This will allow the chance for the song to come up. It's currently reached #4 on Bubbling Under which is a great sign of it being on the cusp. Such an old song will struggle to get radio play as opposed to a brand new song that's just become a viral streaming hit. You'll notice that the songs that have charted the best from TikTok are new ones and usually ones that are singles. Radio is picking up on it and not just in America. We just have to be patient.

The Hot 100 is a US-only chart.

What you Say Is a good point but in this way a part of the popularity gets Lost...It Is a fact and It Is undeniable that both songs of the WEDNESDAY dance are popular...more than some songs in the charts

it is, but charts need to take into account a whole song, not a 10 second clip. You can't compare an entire song on Spotify to a ten second distorted sped up clip on Tik Tok.

I understand...anyway there are YouTube dance tutorials in internet where they use  the entire song...TV shows everywhere in the world where they use the entire Song.. sport competitions where they use the entire Song...influencer using the entire Song to sell their products...I am not here to tell what charts should consider or not but it is evident that BB charts are very artificial...Is any track from Midnight a real true strong single as the BB chart suggests? Surely not...It Is the entire album that Is strong...not every single part of it...Single charts are nowadays useless. The TS or Drake situation where multiple tracks are listed in the top ten is a joke and an embarassment showing how the single charts today are irrelevant. Popularity Is not what Is really popular but what Is measured by an algorithm as popular

I understand, but you can't count plays on the TV and in sport competitions. Yes, it means that the song is popular, but there is no way to transparently count the plays for every single song played outside the streaming platforms and make it count for the charts. It is expected that the popularity of the song will be reflected in the legal sales/streams of the song.

I thought it was because people in the US don't have taste  the best pop songs usually always chart higher outside the states than they do here nowadays

If there is no way to transparently count the plays for every single song played outside the streaming platforms as you state ( i must confess I can partly understand your argumentation )  then that means that charts are failing, that  they are not really able to count the real power of a song but only a part of it...so why should we consider charts so relevant...Moreover one of the metrics of BB charts Is radio. What can be more manipulated than this? Is this real? A group of radio managers decide for the mass what Is popular or should be popular!
