I agree on this with every album bar ARTPOP.  All of those final songs sound far too overworked and sterile.  Songs like Gypsy, sure the demo has some clunky lyrics but her voice actually has a whole lot more emotion than what we hear on the final.  Then there’s songs like Aura, MANiCURE and Sexxx Dreams where the original idea sounds better than the final direction.

the venus demo where she sings "loooove" instead of just saying love

mother, what must i do?

I live for the lower key/spoken verses too, it’s like the whole song builds into those beautiful, big choruses :tony:

There are demos out there for so many of the songs:

Diamond Heart

Perfect Illusion (Kevin Parker)

Million Reasons (work tape)

Come to Mama (father John misty)

Angel Down (work tape)

it’s just that either they were given to us directly or they are demos from one of the writers

There are two known non-original LG5 demos. The songs are called "Room in my Heart" and "Deep Blue" (I think for the latter).

This may not satisfy you… buut you can hear parts of the A-YO Demo in this Video (aaand Gaga talking about how she‘s trying to write a big Hit when it came to Joanne Album is always such an interesting bit to me)

Because it was pretty much produced with Just Mark Ronson in his studio and Mark keeps things on lock!

I'll be myself until they fūcking close the coffin.

of course... makes perfect sense..... that's why there are all these other demos of her writing partners singing her demos.

That is often how demos work luv

In the early stages of song creation, demos are cut with anyone willing to sing on them. That person is not always going to be the artist that intends to release them. It gets even more interesting when a song is originally written for another artist but the writer ends up releasing the song instead. It doesn't mean the writer isn't the writer, it just means someone else did the demo work.
