Gaga's movies have no replay value

I have to agree. ASIB was long and focused too much on Jackson. HOG’s edit was a mess.

I’m hopeful for Joker! I think it will be a huge success!

Have watched both several times. ASIB is loved and rewatched by almost everyone I know and these people didn't watched it because of Gaga. I know you all hate HOG, but it's literally a perfect movie to me: no horror/scary stuff, Gaga, beautiful people and scenery, Italy and one does knows the story before :huntyga: I known these are not criterias for everyone, but people are different and the vast majority of people don't have that high expectations for movies than the film critics here on GGD.

We need to calm down, listen to Free Woman and just relax.

This is exactly what I’m talking about. If “most” people didn’t like it, it wouldn’t be the highest earning adult drama of this decade so far :rip:

I didn't know hype and box office revenue had to be a 1:1 parallel to the opinions people have after the fact  There have been several people in this thread alone who had a bone to pick with that film, and not many people speak highly of it in general unless it's just to quote Gaga's improv

The movie’s official audience score is 83% and it was rated B+ by actual cinema goers. I’d stick to that rather than the opinion of a handful of ‘fans’ who hate everything Gaga does :river:

I wouldn’t watch Gucci again, but I love rewatching ASIB. It is a heavy film though, it definitely isn’t meant to be light entertainment.

I’ve watched ASIB multiple times, it’s a great film.

I only seen Gucci recently and I liked it.  Gaga was great and the rest of the cast do a good job bar Jared Leto :ladyhaha: I’m still not sure what exactly he was doing, it was like a really poor impression of someone doing a bad impression of an Italian.  It’s weird.

Yes but so are most movies to me, at least these kind of movies that are very straightforward and don't have any level of complexity.

Reading people's answers here I find it fascinating how people can differ. I really don't see the appeal in seeing ASIB multiple times, I saw it 3 times only because I wanted to watch it with my friend and my dad and see their reaction to it, but I didn't gain anything from it personally.

For me when I rewatch movies I often notice things I didn't notice the first time, like for example I was more seeing the foreshadowing of the later events in ASIB, and also noticed more the lighting of red/blue, because I wasn't so focused on the dialogue anymore since I knew what they were going to say

But other movies I watch over and over just for the comfort because they are my favorites. I just get comfort from knowing what will happen, when my life is crazy and feels out of control
