Gaga's movies have no replay value

Personally I think HOG has no replay value, It took me three times to finally watch it in full. I just thought it was kinda boring, cheesy and long.

I think ASIB has plenty replay value, though it has its flaws (like any movie).

I can't say how many times I've watched FFT, I love it and I wish we had more documentaries. Should've released the ARTPOP one :/

I disagree in regards to ASIB. I think that movie has incredible replay value. Yeah, it's not bright, fun, campy, but it's a genuinely well made movie. I've watched it like 3-4 times. The performances, songs, and directing was all great.

I think HOG doesn't have much replay value, but that's because I don't think the movie is all that good. Gaga's by far the best part of the movie, but the editing really annoys me.

What are these takes :rip: A Little Monster not liking ASIB, a very heterosexual alt-rock remake of a remake of a remake, does not make them less of a movie fan. Nor does not liking HOG, which most people didn't. It also doesn't matter whether or not someone's on the same page as the GP, I think all of us have had a "the GP has no taste" moment at least once before.

The OP expressed an opinion about wanting more campy quotable films starring Gaga, and, considering her brand from 2008-14 and maybe even now, that's kind of valid?

ASIB is "very" heterosexual despite the gay icon leads with nearly all versions? :partysick:

mother, what must i do?

I haven't seen the previous iterations and I was referring to this one specifically, but yes :rip: the soundtrack is very radio-friendly singer-songwriter/rock/country for the most part and I feel like the target demographic for the film must have been middle-aged straight women who will relate to Ally in some way and are in love with Bradley Cooper. I'm not saying that to criticize the film, but I'm saying it's not a film that really panders to the interests of the average gay Gen Z-er

Taste is subjective  though. Other fans have replay it on BluRay many times. So debating things like this is pretty redundant.

what do you mean what could have been

Just that scenes were cut out that would've delved more in Patrizia's mindset and some of the reasons she went so "crazy". Like the scene where she has a brain tumor removed and wakes up and no one is there to see her.

by "gaga's movies" I literally meant the movies gaga's been in (happens to be two so far)  not inventing anything that doesn't already exist lol

but anyways, yes seems were on the same page

🙂 You get my drift though ? The use of the phrase 'Gaga's movies' could imply a pattern pertaining to Gaga, and two ain't enough for a pattern.

I am very protective. She's just a little lamb after all.

That's actually a great point about FFT. I've also watched it a hell of a lot, to the point where I pretty much know it by heart. I know there's no such thing as a genuinely unguarded moment when you're aware there's a camera pointed at you, but I like to think you do get some sense of who she really is from FFT.

OP it sounds like you're not a "sad movie" type person. And that's cool. But many of us are. Just like some people prefer ballads over up beat pop.

For those who like sad movies? ASIB is def a classic.

(HOG had SO much promise. Through no fault of Gaga, it just didn't quite land. But it could have been a classic if not for the last third.)
