Romania will block Austria's intention to win in December 2023 the headship of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE), a key institution in which leadership positions are filled by the consensus of the member states, according to G4Media sources. An indication of Romania's intention was given on Monday by Marcel Ciolacu, in a press conference. The OSCE is expected to play a major role in the post-conflict situation in Ukraine.

"If you used an unjustified right of veto, then do not expect, for example, when Austria requests to have the head of the OSCE, that Romania will not use the same right of veto. But maybe until this parallel is reached, there are still diplomatic steps to close these things", said Marcel Ciolacu in a press conference at the PSD headquarters. pettiness from romania when supposed to be integrating with a bloc of friendly nations. glad austria vetoed

The reason why Austrian companies are under widespread boycott is because Rom. realized no matter what it will do, it will never be good enough for Schengen. Integration is void when countries use arbitrary vetoes, and the result is more arbitrary vetoes (though, trust me, there isn't a shortage of reasons why Austria shouldn't get this position).

There is only so much you can to do integrate when the ones you are supposed to integrate into don't want to.
