Not going to comment about the privacy issue with tracking flights, but from an environmental policy perspective, it is a lot easier to place restrictions and regulations on irresponsible behaviors of the select few (i.e. corporations and the rich elite) than the vast majority of individuals (the billions of global citizens). 
 

The fact of the matter is that plane hopping in a private jet (which has a greater impact on environmental health compared to commercial jets) does quite a bit of harm to the planet. That’s not a debate, and whether it be from the actions of Taylor Swift or Gaga, people engaging in such behavior should be scrutinized. The planet is already dying at this point. The most we can do is slow down the impact and change the way the biggest contributors drive this process.

I don't even own a car and rarely use one, use public transport, don't eat meat, barely have power to use (love living in a third world country), reuse most of the plastic stuff i have, etc. but I'm still aware that all of that is not really gonna change the world when we have people like Taylor and co and huge polluting companies doing so much more damage lol

but hey i'm the problem here!
