Your post made me think deeper on this. Maybe the truth is somewhere in the middle. Maybe indeed cutting down on some unnecessary travelling could be the right thing to do for these top-polluting celebs.

The mistake is that you are pre-assuming how the flights were, when you don't even have the information. To comment on something like this, stick to the information you have. In this case you have the number of flights plus not who traveled, how many traveled and why they traveled.

This is so complicated because I see both sides of the issue so clearly. Taylor’s popularity does put her and those around her at all elevated risk for harm if people can readily know her location. While her music does put me to sleep, I can empathize with her legitimately fearing for her safety and the risk involved with lacking privacy surrounding her travels. However, it’s clear to me without social pressure and constant accountability there’s no way to reduce the massive burden of pollution on the Earth.

As the one of the biggest individual polluters, there’s no way not to call out Taylor’s actions even at the risk of safety. Taylor can readily hire more security (and may I suggest even keeping her ass at home), but Earth is readily changing to uninhabitable so we’re going to have to drawn some hard lines in the sand as it relates to personal libraries and the greater good for the world.

i already said she might have lent it out, please read my posts. that doesn’t make private flights any less pollutive.

Pleaseeee. Taylor never steps foot in the airports. She's driven to the steps of her private jet. What's the safety issue? Because she or her publicist call the paparazzi all the time to photograph her and her men at the beach. She posts pictures in her homes that she's given tours of on social media, a much more intimate setting with a more precise location. This isn't about general privacy. It's the fact that she's been dragged for her private jet usage all year. That's it.

Or make tours shorter. Or at least work out the dates so most locations can be reached with tour buses and trucks rather than planes.

There definitely are alternatives. They're not as convenient or profitable though so the queen of marketing and her team will never do it
