I posted it because you seem to not be aware of the location of these countries. You also did not answer how people get from Bosnia to Austria through Romania instead of through Croatia. Just why this excentric and counterintuitive route?

If you don't trust the claims of Romanian sources that only 0,2% of Austrian illegal immigrants passed through Romania you have no right to use his claims as accurate in any way. Independent European sources meanwhile are consistent with what the Romanian president said.

I am from Croatia so I know very Well the locations of countries mentioned here. And have no mistake that I know the problematic in question here as European law and accesion process was the theme of my masters.

I know for a fact that Croatia is not a immigrant hub.

So, stop putting Numbers that fit your narativne regarding this subject and claim stupid reasons as beaches for Austria not objecting.

Croatia is at the end of a immigrant hub which are the Western Balkans. Admitting it but not Romania when is a proven fact that more illegal immigrants come through there is counter-productive and shows there are ulterior motives at play. 26 countries and the EU institutions itself have spoken and said sound and clear that Romania is ready (since 2011 about when Croatia joined the Eu itself). I suggest you continue your research on the matter.

European law trumps all, no matter what. Cyprus has no right of preemption and their government already made clear that their natural gas will be enterting the European market overall by 2027, not just the Cyprus market.

In 2021 the EU supreme court ruled in a case between the High Court of Cassation and Justice in Romania vs. the Constitutional Court of Romania, that EU-law trumps national constitutions AND their consititutional courts even. (The High Court of Romania complained about the Constitutional Court basically enabling corruption, which is against EU anti-corruption laws). The EU supreme court also used this verdict to warn Germany and their Constitutional Supreme Court, who had argued similarly to Romania's constitutional court. 

Just on the topic though: I do think it's wrong to deny Romania and Bulgaria Schengen access, I just don't think it's done because they wanna exploit their natural resources. Austria is doing it cuz they are xenophobic asshats
