The Fame Monster is not a concept album so the songs aren’t really following a story. Of course she came up with the idea of the fears to have somewhat of a general concept of what she wanted to talk about and show it as the opposite of The Fame and she did it great. They wanted to do a re-release so if it wasn’t for Gaga they probably would’ve just done The Fame with Bad Romance and 2-3 more songs attached at the end.

Lots of BTW tracks could’ve taken Telephones spot.  Telephone could’ve been a bonus track even. It just doesn’t pass the monster vibe check imo

Pronounced like “Balenciaga” . Emphasis on the “Ga”

Idk man, I feel like it’s very in the same vein as Monster and So Happy I Could Die, just euphoric upbeat pop songs about quite dark subjects. Like the theme of Tele is literally ‘Fear of Suffocation’ so I think it fits quite well

I used to LOVE it. And now I never listen to it. I guess to me it didn’t age too well. It really sounds like 2009/2010. Maybe that’s because it’s a bit gimmicky with literal lyrics?

I agree that it doesn’t sound like the rest of TFM songs. It could be a Kim Petras song on steroids.

HOWEVERRRRRR it gave us:

1. A collab with Queen Bey, which is iconic in and of itself.

2.  One of the best music videos of all time. I mean, when that video was released it was an EVENT.

3. GRAND CENTRAL STAYY—SHUNNN

Therefore, this song will always be one of the most iconic moments in Gaga’s career, and a high that other pop stars could only wish to achieve.  she did THAT with a song Britney rejected lol

As we all know, it was originally written for Britney Spears

It was written for The Fame!

(It's also a fantastic pop song, of course it belongs on an album full of fantastic pop songs :firega:).
