As I understand it, it's not that they pitched it to Britney, it's more that Larry Rudolph... took it Gaga was okay with that because a) she loves Britney, and b) they were running out of time to finish it before handing in The Fame. Though it makes it pop with its poppey sound lol but to say its generic and could belong to anyone. That is just not true. The beat maybe like many others but the song has a cinematographic/atmospheric vibe. Plus it has this robotic feel to it, this is a gaga that doesn’t feel the slightest real.
