I can’t believe his response was “It’s something I can’t resolve” and follows up with “I just came here to enjoy life and soccer” he sounds like a dickhead.

Then you go resolve it.

that’s the issue today.   Everyone thinking anyone besides themselves can resolve issues

While Qatar's human rights issues are horrific I kinda must point out I find it interesting the GP only gets triggered about not boycotting or cancelling something or some place when a celeb or internet makes it a trend and others join in it

There's lots of stuff and places and companies all around us all the time that if some movement pointed it out how bad they are everyone would agree they should be boycotted but we largely don't ever think about it and move on with our day

The moment something gets on to the spotlight on the internet suddenly banning or cancelling that thing becomes the holy grail of moral superiority and somehow whether u join it or not and talk about it determines whether ur a good person or not

He was rude the way he brushed off the interviewer and very unnecessary to minimize the issue but in terms of him choosing to join the boycott or not, that's his decision

Children die in child slavery conditions everyday and no one is condemning famous ppl for wearing addidas sneakers. I guess cuz atm it's not in the spotlight trend then u don't have to be cancelled about it ATM. Only when it goes viral then it's cancel worthy :neyde:

Having moral convictions is important

Personally the irritating thing to me is how trend based morality seems to be nowadays

There's stuff all around us with negative moral implications if u buy this product, or visit this country or jurisdiction etc and no one thinks about it or does anything

The moment something becomes a trend because a movement went viral (usually especially if celebrities join in on it) then suddenly avoiding that thing or place becomes like a holy grail of morality that if u don't avoid it ur a horrible person

I just don't find it cosistent at all. It seems to always be about whatever is on the spotlight at the moment when it comes to cancelling or boycotting which feels like an image things for celebrities and a superficial sense of moral superiority for the average person

Sometimes some things get SOOOO much exclusive attention while other issues get 0 attention and u get no consequences for participating in it. Why? Why is it always 2 or 3 things at one time that trigger everyone in the globe at once if u don't participate in a boycott or cancel while the other 8948264289 horrible injustices also happening get completely ignored?

The privilege :toofunny: As I always say, when people show you their true colors, believe them.

Maluma has always come across cocky to me and like a bit of a d*ck. This definitely confirms it... :madge:

Sadly that’s often the state of “soccer”. Many fans don’t give a crap about these issues, they think this is above all that.

I have seen so many people criticizing people who are exposing how filthy Qatar is. I am sure some big s**t will happen during the World Cup, and there will be no more excuses left to support it

So it’s okay to support the genocide of gay men as long as there’s nothing you can personally do to stop it? Lmaoooooooooooo

actually the issue is the lack of human rights in qatar and how these supposed "LGBT supportive" celebs are willing to profit from it too, meaning that their "LGBT support" was just lies to sell records

mother, what must i do?
